Pottery Road / NC 705

Pair a countryside drive along NC 705 with pottery browsing in Seagrove and the surrounding communities.

Route: Pottery Road follows NC 705 between Seagrove and Eagle Springs, passing the Whynot and Robbins area. NCDOT’s 2024 byway presentation lists 25.3 miles and about 35 minutes of driving, before stops. The full route crosses Randolph and Moore counties.

Make a day of it: Choose a few pottery studios before leaving, check their opening hours, and allow time to browse. Use NCDOT’s route map to plan the drive; individual studios may require a side trip.

Fall outings: Enjoy the changing countryside at your own pace. Leaf color depends on the weather, so check current reports rather than relying on a fixed peak date.

Before you go: Check road conditions and studio hours. For motorcycle trips, watch for wet leaves and loose gravel around pull-offs and driveways.
