Cone Health ZooCity Sportsplex
Combine playground time, walking and outdoor games at Asheboro’s sportsplex.
2981 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro
The complex includes eight multipurpose sports fields, four pickleball courts, beach volleyball and a seven-zone outdoor Fitness Court. Reservations and tournaments take priority over open play; check individual facilities before arriving.
The fenced playground has swings, climbing equipment, rubber surfacing, inclusive elements and designated restrooms. Confirm the access and transfer arrangements needed for particular equipment.
Paved walking routes are separate from mulched trails; ask staff about slopes and the best starting point for your mobility device. Dog-park areas separate small and large dogs and provide benches, waste bags and water bowls. Published complex access is 8 a.m. to sunset, subject to closures.
