The roughly 1.6-mile trail passes ponds, woodland and Upper Piedmont Research Station pastures, using gravel, dirt and historic farm roads. It is also a birding destination. Stay on the public route and respect the working farm. The Chinqua-Penn mansion is closed to the public; trail access does not include mansion entry. Check conditions before visiting.
