Allied Churches welcomes community members to Joe's Diner for weekday meals. Posted lunch: Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; dinner: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Check current notices for changes.

Housing assistance follows a separate process. Shelter intake normally requires a coordinated-assessment referral, with separate inclement-weather procedures. A meal visit does not reserve accommodation. Call 336-229-0881, extension 104, for assessment; the operator lists assessment hours Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Volunteers can apply for kitchen, food and office roles. Minors must have an accompanying adult; arrange participation before arriving. Volunteer questions: 336-229-0881, extension 102.
